1. Identify the missing reconciled transaction
   In Quicken, go to:
   Reports → Banking → Reconciliation Discrepancy Report
   This report shows:
   • Deleted reconciled transactions
   • Changed amounts
   • Changed dates
   • Anything that would break a previously balanced month
   If the report shows the missing item, simply re‑enter it exactly as it originally was.

I'd like to propose an improvement to the UI and verbiage, if feasible, customized for the "Idea Posts" section of the community to make it stand out and clear how to vote. Here is just a rudimentary mockup suggestion to stir things up.

Quicken is a company and software that is supposed to especially help people with tax reporting. It is insane that Quicken does not show the sales tax charged on the renewal invoice.

If one goes to the list of Categories at https://community.quicken.com/categories  and clicks on the first item listed, Product Ideas, it takes you to  https://community.quicken.com/categories/product-ideas  and there are three sub-categories listed.

If you click on the 7th item in the overall list of Categories, it takes you to  https://community.quicken.com/categories/quicken-product-ideas  where there are six sub-categories listed, several of which then have sub-categories within each of those.

The same two separate instances can be seen in the list of Categories that appear in the panel on the right-hand side of the browser window when viewing discussions.

Seems like some discussion board organization/clean-up is needed.

Since Quicken knows which users have a post bookmarked, it should send a message to the users that the post is being removed. That way, the user will at least have a record of the subject so they can search for alternative posts to follow when they find out the posts are gone.

Additionally, after the post is removed and the message is sent, subtract 1 from the bookmark total so users no longer try to use their bookmarks to find the missing posts.

Okay, I get it - it happens. Every so often a glitch makes its way into the Matrix.

I called and eventually got through to support and asked to be notified when it would be safe to venture back into Quicken waters, but was simply told to try again in two or three hours.

What would really be nice is if the Quicken website implemented a Status Page so we can glance at that and quickenly determine if there are server side issues and check back there to see if it would be safe to proceed.

That way when we encounter problems we can quickly check to see if it would be worthwhile to attempt drastic and potentially damaging debugging actions, or if we know there's an issue can check in to see when sharks have been purged from the waters and it's once again safe to take a swim.

Your vote matters. The software developers at Quicken review these posts and decide if they should be implemented in a future version of Quicken.

There doesn't seem to be a good place to put this suggestion, so I have another one: add a place for suggestions to improve chat support!

I would also like the ability to permanently filter my feed by categories, and by the financial institutions mentioned in the posts I see. For example,

1. I view the Mac versions of Q as being a completely different animal from the Windows version I use. I do not read or contribute to Mac-related categories.
2. Similar for the Canadian category.
3. As a 25-year user, I have no interest in the pre-purchase topics.
4. …or the "Water Cooler".

All of these comments are aimed at improving the "signal to noise" ratio in the community, as I use it. Of course, every user will have different preferences for how they would like Community posts to be filtered.

There is such a high volume of daily posts that it is very time-consuming to go through all recent posts to pick out just the posts involving one of these two banks.

Or, am I late to the party (again) because this idea has already been proposed by someone else?
