        <description><![CDATA[<p>Using Quicken Classic Deluxe Version 8.5.2.  My cash management account is accounting payments and income incorrectly.  If I send $100 to pay a bill, it deducts that $100 from the total, and then immediately adds a second register item as a "Sell" of QPIQQ for $100, adding back into the total the same amount it had just correctly deducted.  I fix this by deleting the "sell" entry from the register.  But, I shouldn't have to do that.   This is a new, recent issue, which started around the same time that the double counting of FDRXX was fixed in my other accounts.</p><p>I've attached a partial screen shot of my register with the most recent incident, where I sent $1002 to my son.  You can see the double entry for the same amount.         <description><![CDATA[<p>Mac.  I just connected my bank account to Quicken for the first time, and the balance is way off. I clicked reconcile and then chose 'use online balance' -which was correct. </p><p>I then clicked finished, and Quicken wanted me to add an adjustment, which ended up showing a wrong balance again.</p><p>I'm not sure what to do or how to start off with a balance the same as my bank balance.         <description><![CDATA[<p>Years ago I had a Chase business card where the employee cards had unique account numbers.  But there was a dilemma in using Quicken.  I could download each employee card into its own account, but when I downloaded my primary card, it duplicated the employee transactions.  Alternatively, I could just only setup the primary card where all transactions were downloaded, but then there was no way to identify which employee made a charge.  It was frustrating and I eventually cancelled the card and just gave employees individual card accounts.</p><p>I really dislike that option as well so I'm wondering if Quicken has solved this dilemma.  Is there away to have the employee transactions downloaded in a way where I can see which employee made which charge yet be able to auto reconcile and not have duplicative transactions downloaded in the primary account.</p><p>Anyone have insight on this issue and how it now operates in Quicken?</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I was both pleased and disappointed to discover that I could set up my Franklin Templeton accounts a few minutes ago.  I am pleased that it now appears to work.  All I did was go to the account and click on set up download..   I was asked to choose the simple or full download and chose full.  Since I have no new transactions (I entered the 2025 year-end transactions manually), I can't tell whether I will eventually get detailed transaction downloads.</p><p>I had been told here last year that FT had decided not to cooperate with Q and that I would be informed if that changed.  So my dismay is the lack of notification that the total non-working status with FT is no longer a lost cause.  I don't know how long it has been working (or how long it will keep working).</p><p>Also FT now appears in the financial institution list.</p><p>How did I miss this?</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Ok . . .  I seem to not be able to get a straight answer from Quicken support. I've had issues with transactions on my Mac since last fall .. .  the only way I corrected was to create a new account however none of the history is available ..  ..  it's there any way to download account history from Fidelity directly into my Fidelity Net Benefits 401K account?</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Last Fall Fidelity Net Benefits started having persistent issues. First, my transactions duplicated. The only solution was to disconnect and add a new account, which wiped away all of my history, so any net worth or performance history reports are useless.  </p><p>Now, downloads stop every few days, and only start again after I disconnect and reconnect. </p><p>I'm looking for a permanent solution here. I've been a Quicken user for close to 30 years and honestly, I'm thinking of switching since this issues does not give me an accurate accounting of my accounts. </p><p>[Edited - Readability]</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Mac Version 8.4.2 (Build 804.59835.100)</p><p>I called in years ago with this issue and the 2nd instance—a thread on this site—is now closed without a solution.  Now that it's tax time I discover these discrepancies and have to go into Quicken and FIX all the mis-assigned transaction imports that simply happen to have the same transaction amount.  (Oh, there's a white man, it must be Gary!  Oh, there's another white man, it must also be Gary, ….and on.)</p><p>The problem is that currently, I have four charities where, every month, I give the same amount to each.  Quicken doesn't seem to care about the payee name that downloads from my bank because it seemingly randomly assigns one of the payees with the same payment amount to the imported transaction.  </p><p>To get around this, I made one on-going transaction of the same amount (not charity but to a 529 account) 50 cents more so that I can give Quicken a helping hand since the software is apparently not so smart.  Having been in IT for over 30 years, I find this simple problem to be very frustrating.  Of all the important and complex calculations this software must now do, this must be the easiest.</p><p>I've been using Quicken since I got my first version on a single floppy disk (I think the first Windows version) but this will be my last year.  There's enough competition out there now to draw me away.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I have one ETF symbol in my system (GOVT) that doesn't update when I click the update button.  It does seem to update at the end of the day or start of the next day, but right now it is showing yesterday's price.  All of my other symbols are updating as expected.  If I go into the security and rebuild the price history, it does pull in today's current price.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I contributed cash to an IRA and immediately converted to my Roth. I don't use quicken to monitor my IRA since it's in/out carrying zero balance. In quicken I report a cash contribution directly to my Roth. I have 2 Roth's at Fidelity I do this way. One of them is synching correctly. The other one shows that I have cash in the account when I don't…I already used it to buy a fund. The underlying transactions supporting the cash were dated years ago. I deleted those since they were in/out and cancelled each other out so no net effect. Now the cash is still showing but it has no cost basis. Bottom line is I have 8008.33 of cash showing in my fidelity quicken register that isn't in my account. My other fidelity account is correct which is odd that it isn't consistent.</p>]]>
