But, as far as I can tell, there is no way for me to import any foreign banks into Quicken. So, what is really the point of FBAR as that is only for foreign bank? Is that only for US tax filers who may have supported Canadian banks? I have not yet found a way to import any foreign bank accounts into Quicken. Am I wrong?

Reviewing spending by categories by drilling into pie charts, is a very useful feature when working with a spouse or significant other when discussing "where did the money go?"

These discussions usually result in discovering a transaction that was mis-categorized - a/k/a - "mine vs yours", and the ability to correct a transaction's categorization, and redisplay the pie chart - was indispensable in the past (on Windows).

This works-ish on an iPad using the latest Quicken Classic app (clearly someone at Quicken sees the value or this wouldn't be a feature), but there is absolutely no support with MacOS.

If there is no plan for actually developing this functionality, can the export of this report include an option to "export for graphing" which deletes the extraneous header rows and other "filler" rows in the CSV to make this possible without wasting time in either Excel or Numbers?

I can't even tag this thread with anything related to Charts.

I can generate a detailed transaction account - but there does not seem to be a "business" filter in the customize options.
And the reports generated in the "business" dashboard all seem to be summaries unlike the detail in the usual transactions report.
Any suggestions to get the same detail of transactions in a report solely within the business?

Estimated Federal and State tax payments are made 4 times over two calendar years. Three in the actual reporting calendar tax year and one in the following year. The report doesn’t include the fourth estimate made in the following calendar tax year. This could cause an incorrect tax filing if the three estimated are the only estimates reported. An option should be available to have the specific tax estimate category supersede the report date setting. It could be as simple as having a tab on the category settings providing that option.

I recently switched from Quicken Deluxe to Quicken Business & Personal for Mac. I set all my existing categories as business income and expenses, and set all my accounts as primarily for business use in their respective settings. Other reports seem to work alright, but for some reason, the Business Balance Sheet report shows wildly incorrect account balances in all assets and liabilities when set to either "Business" or "Personal". When I set the report to "Business and Personal" the balance sheet still shows the same wrong amounts in separate columns for each, but the difference between each column is the correct amount for each asset and liability. It appears the "Business" items are overstated and the the "Personal" items understated by amounts that if combined would be the correct amounts for each item. Any idea why this is happening, and how to fix?

While the register records the transaction as "remove shares" it does not appear on the category report, and I am unable to designate that it went to charity so that it would appear in the correct category on the itemized by category report. Since donating stocks to charity have substantial tax benefits, this needs to be corrected so it is reflected in our tax returns.

My report was 33 pages, font was too big at that time. Now with the latest version, the font on my Category reports are twice the size with 66 pages for my report. Ridiculous. Why can't the reports print just what is displayed on the screen. That would be a perfect report. My accountant already thinks the report style & font on the Mac is cumbersome. Why can't you create the Quicken Mac like Quicken Windows. We deserve better. The price point is the same.

Hi, so my town has a complicated sales tax structure, with a summer and a winter rate, and a few different exemptions- the ones I use most are for non-local sales and senior citizens. When I file my city taxes, I need to report total sales for each tax period, and exempt sales for each category, and then compute my tax due on the difference. I assigned each exemption category a sales tax of 0% with the city as the agency, the only problem being that because it's 0% it somehow gets shunted into "No Agency" instead of being listed under the city. I could mark them as non-taxable sales, and then they'd show in that column, but I'd have to go back and manually determine which exemption they belonged in. All I really want is a report just like the existing sales tax report but showing the categories with 0% rates. I can't see how to make a scratch report to do that, or how to edit this report, either.

Ideas?

Thanks!

I am still using Quicken Mac 2007 on an iMac running OS 10.13.6 (High Sierra). Please don't lecture me about updating - I have my reasons. I'm hoping someone in this community still knows enough about QM 2007 to help with a recent problem.

I've always been able to print reports in portrait format but recently, for no apparent reason, they have started to come out in landscape. This wastes paper for long reports and is, frankly, annoying.

Quicken Preferences-Reports says nothing about printing.

Quicken Preferences-Print checks has 4 options but they all come out in landscape.

My default printing format for everything I print is portrait and that is working for other print jobs. But when I actually try to print a Quicken report, my Print - Layout settings show only landscape format, with no way to change to portrait.

I need to print several reports for tax purposes but am dreading using all that paper. If someone can shed some light on this mysterious gremlin, I'll be very grateful.

I just created a version of this report with a goal to report only income categories, and only from non-retirement accounts. Even though the retirement accounts are explicitly excluded in my filter, for some reason the retirement account realized gains/losses are showing up on the report (I can see them in the drill-down from quarters where they show up), so my realized gains/losses for tax purposes are way off.

Anyone else see this problem?

Version 8.4.2 (Build 804.59835.100)

MacOS 26.2

I created at 2025 annual report with income and expenses. The report randomly omits some splits. Since I use splits extensively within credit card payment entries, this means I have an annual report which is of unknown accuracy for any expense entered as a split. Quicken support has told me this is a known problem, with no commitment at this time to a fix. I consider this unacceptable—a report that is unreliable is essentially useless.

I found this because the annual expense for Auto:Fuel was way below what I knew the Fuel expense should be. (In other words, some of the Auto:Fuel splits were captured in the report and some weren't.) Now I have to check all the other items which are regularly entered as a split to determine which are incorrect. I enter all splits manually. I do not download from the credit card company.

I have made many reports before, and had never noticed this problem. However, it’s not easy to see unless a specific line item is immediately recognizable as off, so it might be longstanding. At the current time, it is very important for me to have an accurate report for an outside need.

Quicken Classic Deluxe Version 8.4.2 (Build 804.59835.100)

Mac OS 15.3.1

I am doing final 2025 report for our small business. At the end of the year I add up all of the business expenses paid from the credit card in the House account and write a check for all of the business expenses with a split showing all of the business categories — they are not showing up in the final 2025 transaction report as anything except the name of the check.
I can't seem to get the specific details in the split to appear in the report. It did last year so I guess it is in one of the updates. Any help?
