Transaction (stock purchase) entered in register does not appear in the Portfolio. What is the prob

I am using Quicken 2016 on a Win 7 machine.

I have deleted the transaction and re-entered it, but the stock still does not appear in my Portfolio.  I have never had this problem before.  Any diagnoses and, hopefully, solutions?

    Each Portfolio view can be individually customized.



    Customize the Portfolio view and on the Securities tab, select the securities you wish to display in that Portfolio view.
    Quicken user since Q1999. Currently using QW2017.
