Add easier way to turn downloading on/off of individual securities in Quicken Mac (39 Legacy Votes)

 I also highly recommend that you browse through the IDEAS section of this forum and VOTE for the request of each of the missing features to be added back into Quicken for Mac....to help direct the priorities of the developers.
To do that, I suggest you read this FAQ on how to filter the IDEAS on this forum to just show the ones for the Mac version, then VOTE to your heart's content:

I wish QM would not try an update the prices of securities that are no longer in my portfolio.  QW doesn't do that.  I spent two hours turning off updating all of my previously owned securities.

Agreed.  It's a nuisance to get updates for things that don't matter.

Our Development Teams have confirmed this feature request is already available and may be found through the following steps:

• Go to Window : Securities

• Uncheck "Download quotes..."

• A warning is received that you are now deciding to manage which securities are downloaded and not and Quicken will no longer do it for you.

• The Download Quotes checkboxes appear so you can manage this yourself.
