Organizing Direct Purchase stocks

What would be the "best" way to organize/enter securities held individually (Direct Purchase) ? The only thing linking some of the shares is the DRP servicing company(ies). Just enter individual securities? create a "brokerage" for the servicing company and have stocks under it?

Yes:  "create a "brokerage" for the servicing company and have stocks under it."

You may then need to just plan on manually updating the purchase and dividend transactions, maintaining the entire account manually.  If you have several of these types of holdings, I would have one account for all of them (assuming no download capability).
