I entered a manual purchase of stock but the market value shows less than the correct total. Q2016

Using Q2016 Deluxe, Windows.  I entered a manual purchase of stock but the market value shows 592.29 less than the value.  I deleted and replace the action 3 times but the same thing happens.

    Unless you changed the "As of" Date in the Portfolio View to a different date, the Market Value is based on the closing stock price from the most recently downloaded price quote. So it can very well be different from the total amount spent for each of the purchases.

    Check that your security is set up using the correct ticker symbol for price downloading.
    Also check the individual Price History records that were downloaded are correct and you haven't got a bad price downloaded.
