How do I add a DRP stock to my portfolio?

I need to add a new stock to my portfolio in Quicken 2016. This stock is NOT in a brokerage account, but is held in a dividend re-investment plan.  How do I do this?

Set up the DRP plan AS IF it were a brokerage.  When Q asks for the name of the Brokerage, click "Advanced Setup" at the bottom of the window to create a manual brokerage account.

ALL securities, in Q, must be recorded in a brokerage type account ... if they're to be recorded at all.  Even in your situation or if you held the actual paper stock certificates.  BUT, it's not required that such brokerage account be connected to any actual brokerage firm.

Thanks!  That seems to have worked.
