There also seems to be a bug that does not include the Memo field during export from a report. See here:
    https://getsatisfaction.com/quickencommunity/topics/unable-to-export-memo-field-from-report-with-qui...

This also needs to be addressed.

Quicken for Mac 2017 does not allow exporting of numbers/spreadsheet into Excel or CSV file, it is possibly to kind of copy and paste the text, but, the rows and columns break up and do not line up correctly.  This is something that should be a priority to fix.

Quicken 2017 (maybe 2016) will not export Notes/Memo column to CSV file. Some users experienced trouble with Excel because their notes had some automatic Excel instructions which shut down the application. Quicken eliminated the feature to avoid this problem. Maybe they could insert extra characters or symbols at beginning of text to eliminate the problem. I used the Note/Memo export data a lot.

QM2017 (v4.4.2) has a decent report list and some have the provision to export to a CSV file to be used in Excel.  Unfortunately, the Net Worth Report does not export to CSV.  Please add the capability to export the New Worth Report to CSV in QM2017.

Would the ability to export reports from Quicken for Mac to a spreadsheet be helpful? Essential, I would say.

The business I own has used the Premier version of QuickBooks for 20 years. For a host of reasons, I'm moving my business from PCs to Macs. But QuickBooks for Mac is pretty lame. Every now and then for the past three years I've asked Intuit if QB for Mac is capable of accounting for assemblies yet. The answer has always been no. So we are abandoning QuickBooks and moving to accounting software that can do what we need.

My personal finances are on Quicken and for the past two years have been on the Mac version of Quicken. I've stopped by these forums from time to time over the past couple of days looking for a way to export Quicken reports to Excel spreadsheets. Apparently there is no way, and it appears that for at least a couple of years moderators have been directing users to these pages to plead for the developers to do something about it. I don't see that anything has been done.

It appears that Intuit just isn't that interested in the Mac. Fine. Wish I understood that before they sold me Quicken for Mac. I'll be looking for something else.

Concur with the need to be able to export all QM2017 reports to MS Excel (CSV).  Interestingly, QM2007 has this capability and I use it all the time.  QM2017 only has a few of the reports which can be exported.  I'm hopeful Quicken will finally add CSV export capability for all QM2007 reports.  I would hope this was a higher priority for QM2017.

The report extract should be WYSIWYG.

I've been using Quicken Windows for years and just switched to QM2017 because I'm tired of running Windows on my Mac. What a letdown! Simple tasks like selecting which fields to export to CSV...not even there. No straight-on transaction detail report. No way, apparently, to search for transactions across multiple accounts. Good grief! AT LEAST give us flexibility to export whatever we want so we can use Excel to compensate for the program's many weaknesses.

Yes! If we can see a column in a report (like memo/notes) then it should be in the export (a.k.a., extract) of it. You state it more generally, meaning that someday when we can show/hide other columns the exported data should reflect that.

But I am pleased that the exported columns one gets from the register view is not what we see. In the register view "split" shows up as the category and sorting by category does not do so on the individual split categories. Fortunately, the exported file opens all the splits up so that I can sort by category.

Same here, have been using Quicken 2018 for Mac, overall I like it but find it incredible that I'm not able to create, say, a 'spending over time' report but not be able to export the results to a csv file (or to anything for that matter).  Additionally all it gives for each category is a total, no average per period, etc that would be essential for budgeting.

If you use the New Reports instead of using the "stock" reports, you can export your report data to a .csv file.

Try getting a net worth report.

The report that I'd most like to be able to export to excel is "net worth over time".  My workaround is to copy the data to the Notes application, then paste from there into Excel.  It does not work cleanly.   The export feature works for QM2007 and QWindows.

I agree, Quicken please provide this capability in the next release
