Add the Ability to Drill Down on ANY Report in Quicken for Mac (86 Legacy Votes)

This means that if you want to be able to see the details on any number on a report, double clicking it should bring up a details report showing the transactions that make up that number. This feature should be available on every report.

This is available in QM2007. Yet, for example, in the new Compare Year over Year report in QM2017 there is no drill down capability.

When reports are released, they should include this in the first release.

I also highly recommend that you browse through the IDEAS section of this forum and VOTE for the request of each of the missing features to be added back into Quicken for Mac....to help direct the priorities of the developers.

To do that, I suggest you read this FAQ on how to filter the IDEAS to just show the ones for the Mac version, then VOTE to your heart's content:
    https://getsatisfaction.com/quickencommunity/topics/quicken-getsat-faq-how-to-filter-conversations-d...

The following are some of the many feature requests you will find: Be sure to scroll down the page, as some contain lists of related features. Click on the link to EACH IDEA separately that you are interested in, then click the VOTE button at the top of EACH page that opens up respectively to increase the count and therefore its visibility to the developers.

If you do not click VOTE at the top of the page of each feature, your vote will NOT be counted for THAT specific feature!

I agree.  This would be very helpful.  I've noticed that both the comparison and summary reports in QM2017 lack this ability.

Just for additional clarification, drilling down should include that if you double-click on a detailed report, it should take you to the specific transaction.

This drill down functionality has now been added to the Comparison and Summary reports in QM2017 v4.3.

Works great!  I like having the option to see the memo/notes field.  That feature needs to be added to a few other reports.

This feature was broken for a while after it was initially implement in QM2017 v4.3, released Nov 2016, as per the 2017 Release Notes.

This feature was fixed in QM2018 v5.5, released Feb 2018, as per the 2018 Release Notes.
