investment performance report error due to incorrect Beg Mkt Val

The IRR calculated in the investment performance report is significantly off showing high numbers like 80%. The error seems to come from incorrect Beg Mkt Val for some securities for which the Beg Mkt Val is reported as zero. However, the values in the Portfolio for the beginning date and for several days before and after the beginning date were not zero.
I use Quicken Premier 2014 R9 (23.1.9.3)

Are there any transactions in your investment account register showing "N/A" in one or more fields?

    Placeholders

    "N/A" in
an investment transaction indicates that you have Placeholder transactions in
your account that need to be resolved.

    For more about
Placeholders please go into Quicken Help (press the F1 key from anywhere in
Quicken) and perform a Contents search for "placeholder".

    Alternatively or in
addition to the above, read the first few articles found here: https://www.quicken.com/search/site/placeholder

I will check. However, this seems to be a bug. Placeholder transactions should result in approximate performance calculations. What I am getting is significantly off because the beginning value is erroneously calculated.
