And yes, the combination of printing a screen shot of the reconcile window and printing a register filtered to show uncleared transactions (both shown in screen shots from Quicken Tyka below) gets you everything that would be in a reconciliation report -- it's just a multi-step process to get there. It might be annoying to have to do those multiple steps, but at least it should be good enough for anyone who needs printed documentation or an account reconciliation. (That doesn't mean Quicken shouldn't get a reconciliation report; it should. It's just a work-around for anyone who needs it now.)

Maybe the reason for so few votes for a Reconciliation Summary is that despite entering the correct User ID and Password (I just opened my Quicken Account with them) is that THIS PAGE WILL NOT ACCEPT THE CORRECT UID & PW!

I am switching from PC to Mac and also will miss the reconciliation report.  In fact, as I am working on it the Beginning Balance of one of my accounts is off.  When I went to Quicken Help it instructed me to run a reconciliation report.  Thankfully I can do it on my PC this time, but I use it regularly.

How do I vote? I don't see that option at the top of the page.

@KM In this new forum software that Quicken just recently moved to, you need to to to the first post in the thread to find the vote button. In this case, because there have been many posts on this thread's history, we're currently on Page 2 of the thread.

Just click on 1 for the first page, and under the first post, you'll see a blue box where you can vote.

Click the little triangle under the vote total and wait a second or two until you see your vote registered. (It's not the best user interface, but it's all we've got!) (Also, know that in the transition from the previous Quicken Community forum to this one in February 2019, the old vote totals did not make the transition, but they are preserved at Quicken HQ. So don't be dissuaded from voting on an idea that has 0 or 1 or 2 votes; there were many more that came before which just aren't visible here at this time.)

I am a former Windows user and found the Reconciliation Report on Quicken for Windows extremely useful. Will Quicken for Mac please add that report?

Thank you for taking the time to visit the Community to post your question, although I apologize that this feature isn't currently offered.

I have moved your post to the ongoing Idea thread to add a reconciliation report to the Mac version.

This Idea is currently marked as "Under Consideration" meaning it is being reviewed by the Development team, however there currently is not an ETA at this time.

Be sure to navigate to the first page of this discussion to add your vote.

Select the black triangle to add your vote!

    Thank you,

    -Quicken Tyka

    Hello,
I am a Windows Quicken user and have been since 1987. I have a client who also was a long time user of Quicken for Windows who recently converted to Quicken for Mac. I was training her how to use Quicken for Mac and was shocked to learn that a Mac user cannot generate a reconciliation report. I called Quicken today and the Quicken rep confirmed this. Some users do not download transactions (my client being one of them). A reconciliation report should be a basic component of any Personal Financial Software. I am asking Quicken to add this feature to the Mac version.
    Thank you.

That is why this IDEA thread is here...click the little grey triangle under the VOTE count at the top of page 1 in the blue banner, so your vote will count for THIS feature and increase its visibility to the developers by seeking to have the features you need or desire end up in the latest version (it may take a moment for your vote to register).

@Adagio if the vote count went down when you clicked to vote, it means you had previously voted for the idea. Clicking the arrow is a toggle: it adds your vote if you haven’t voted and subtracts your vote if you have. You can see this by clicking on the arrow a few times. Also, you may be able to see a subtle shift in the arrow; if you haven’t voted for an idea, it’s gray; if you have, it’s black. (The designers of this platform clearly missed a few lessons in icon design class!)

For everyone waiting for a Reconciliation Report in Quicken Mac, I discovered something from one of the recent updates which may help, even though it's not a complete answer to this request.

With the Reconcile window as your foreground window, you can select File > Print and print the transactions in that window. (I'm not sure which recent update among those updating the Reconcile screen enabled this functionality.)

This is not a true Reconciliation Report, but it may function as one for some purposes. What this does is simply print all the transactions in the Reconcile window.  The totals at the bottom of the report will be the totals of all the transactions in the Reconcile window.

If you've cleared every transaction, then the printed report totals of inflows and outflows will match the total Payments and Charges in the green bar on the Reconcile screen.

But if you have some items which are not cleared, the printed report total still displays the total of all the transactions; you'll have to manually subtract any uncleared items if you want to keep the report as a record of your reconciliation.

While this is not the full-fledged Reconciliation Report which the developers will hopefully deliver at some point in the future, as this Idea thread requests, this ability to print the Reconcile window may prove helpful to some in the interim.

I cannot find how to run a bank reconciliation report in Quicken for Mac. Certainly there must be a way...this is an important item.

    Hello @MichelleH,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community with your request.

I went ahead and merged your Idea to this active Idea thread regarding this topic which is also currently marked as Under Consideration.

Ideas are reviewed by our Development and Product teams to see what features people would like to have available in the future. Please, be sure to add your own vote as well by clicking the up arrow (see example below).

Essential to have a reconciliation report for personal financial software. It's on the pc version, should also be basic functionality for mac version. Thanks!

I see that this has been a request for a number of years. I don't understand why Quicken doesn't see this as an essential report. If there's a need to troubleshoot an out-of-balance bank reconciliation, the first thing to do would be to go back to the prior month's report to view the transactions that had cleared, the transactions that hadn't cleared, and verify that the adjusted bank balance with the uncleared items agreed with the Quicken balance. A screenshot prior to finalizing the bank reconciliation is only useful if all the items can fit on one screen. That is not an acceptable report; if Quicken provides this in the PC software, why is it not also provided in the Mac software?

I also don't see how to vote. It says that there are 88 legacy votes. Does that mean that voting is closed? If so, then shouldn't a new thread be started so the developers can know that the users are continuing to ask for this report?

@MichelleH  I'm not arguing against the ability to print a report, but…

Are you familiar with the Reconciliation History screen in Quicken Mac? This screen lists each of your past reconciliations by date and balance, but it's much more powerful than that. If anything changed since a reconciliation was completed -- such as a transaction amount being edited or a transaction being deleted -- it shows the amount of the current discrepancy from the completed reconciliation. More powerfully, it allows you to open the prior reconciliation, where it shows you exactly what changed. For example, if a transaction was deleted or edited, it highlights that, and allows you to restore it if you want to.

So Reconciliation History can show you what a printed report could in terms of cleared transactions, with the additional benefit of showing you if anything has changed which could the throwing off your current reconciliation, and giving you the ability to easily restore/revert transactions if you wish.

@MichelleH  "Legacy votes" in the title indicates votes for an idea prior to the Quicken moving to the current forum software; when they changed platforms in February 2019, they imported the text of threads but weren't able to transfer past votes into votes on this system -- so they ended up denoting the existing votes in this way. So this Idea request has 88 legacy votes plus 47 current votes (as of me writing this).

Voting for Idea topics on this site always requires going to the first post of a thread -- if a thread has two or more pages of posts, you need to go to the first page -- under which there is a yellow box with a vote total and little arrow you can click to add a vote. (Clicking the vote arrow a second time will remove your vote, so make sure you see there vote total increment by one before leaving the page. Also, you can tell if you've voted by the color of the arrow: it's dark when you have not voted, and light gray if you have already voted.)

I am a 30+ year Quicken (on PC) and Quickbooks user. I’ve been using Macs for almost 10-yrs, but kept an old Windows laptop just for Quicken. That laptop is about to die, so I decided to switch to Quicken subscription for Mac. Blown away there isn’t a detailed bank reconciliation report! Right now—my workaround is to do a reconciliation in Quicken, export a report of uncleared transactions in Quicken, import that info into an Excel, and produce a report. It’s a PAIN! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add a full reconciliation report similar to Quicken for the PC! Thank you!

AMEN! I, too, was keeping my PC to run Quicken because I knew that the Mac version was not the same. When my PC died and I had to switch to Quicken for the Mac, I was astonished that there was no reconciliation report. So many people have requested this, I don't understand why the developers aren't putting this as a priority.
