Why not to buy Quicken Win 2017

If you have a Mac with a retina resolution screen and run Quicken on Parallels (Windows 2015 or earlier) do not upgrade. I just spent 2 hours on the phone with "Mumbai" trying to get an explanation and fix for display problems. They had me jumping through hoops changing resolutions (nothing I haven't tried thanks to great help in this forum) and in the end I was told the problem was with my computer and not the program. Well if the program does not display properly on a retina machine then it is the program/programers fault for not writing good display code. I have been running 2017 Premier for three months and putting up with minor annoyances, but it's tax time and I wanted to pull an "Itemized Category" report only there were no check boxes for which accounts I wanted to include/exclude. This is what precipitated the two hour call. Not to mention the 15 minutes of explaining that I was running Quicken Windows on a Mac and her telling me it was Quicken Mac I was running. Really annoyed spending $75 for an incomplete product.

Running Parallels11/Win10 on a 27" iMac Retina 5k and have no issues with display.
    With Win 10 running - from menu bar;
    Actions > Configure > Hardware > Graphics.
    Set Retina Resolution to Scaled
All other settings (Win & Quicken) are default.

Currently running QWin2016 and have tested QWin2017 with no display issues.

I'm running Windows 7. That could be the difference. I tried "10" and didn't like the interface, but I'm willing to reload it and see if it helps. BTW here is a screen grab of my problemimage

What happens if you go ahead and generate the report - then reopen the Customize dialog?

I have seen similar issues from time to time in the initial customize dialog - but get the fully functional dialog on reopening. This issue goes back several years - probably WinXP and pre-retina and on older versions of QWin.

Also, recall reading a post here on a cure for some dialog issues - the poster had traced his problem to a faulty Win OS font file. Unfortunately I did not save a link at the time - and have been unable to find the post through searching the forum.

On the Retina iMac - OK  - on the MBP 2016 with external 5K monitor OK, on the MBP retina screen - Unusable

Won't fix your display, but there is a key for that!

Select the account and press the space bar.  That is a toggle for the check box.
    See if that works.

    YES !!!!!!

    This works.
Although I can't see what is selected I can work with this.
First you must click "Clear All".
    Thanks

    That's great!
    I'm glad it worked.
