Need an Income report showing income transactions by month, by tag (2 Legacy Votes)

I want to create a report that shows yearly Income by month (columns). Then in rows, transactions by Category (Rental Income) by Subcategory (Apt Complex) by Tag (Individual Unit). Quicken for Windows provides flexibility to create reports; I miss this in Quicken for Mac.

    Yup, the Spending Over Time would be perfect for this, but it won't display any income categories. 

    Please go to THIS LINK, scroll down to the "List of Requests for Report Types" section, then click on and VOTE for any ideas you would find useful. This is how we can influence future development.

    Jeff, Thanks for chiming in here! This one is easy: just take the Spending Over Time report, change its name to Spending/Income Over Time and have it include income in addition to expense categories. An option in the customization to select only all income or only all expense categories would also be handy.

    I see this has been mentioned in the past, but it doesn't appear anything has been done, so I would like to re-mention it.  Each year I like to look back and see how much I spent each month in certain categories.  The Spending Over Time report works wonderfully for this.  However, I cannot seem to do this for Income.  Instead, the closest I can come is to do a Category Summary and customize it to include the appropriate categories.  Then go month by month, customizing the date range each time.

    So the request is to adapt the Spending Over Time report to be able to handle income categories.

    That is helpful and does show the info I was after.  Thanks.  I do still feel that having the Spending Over Time being modified to allow income would be helpful.  If nothing else, the graph and the Over Time report just looks nicer.  This is good for now though.
