if your using an iPad the Quicken would be in the app store as a down load that would work with the iPad but you still have to have a computer version as well I never really like the iPad versions of Quicken as well as what can be put on a desk top or a laptop
I'm just trying to find a way to open a really old file that needs Q2004 & an older computer to open. Quicken is apparently not providing the bridge anymore. I thought maybe my old ipad would be a solution. I do have Q2007 & Q2017 on my desktop mac, but it isn't old enough to support 2004. Thanks for your replies.

What version of QM2007 do you have? If it is v16.0.x or older (the PPC version, not the Lion Compatible version) then it can open the 2004 file. If not, you will need that version or older to open the file.

Contact Quicken Support. They may be able to provide you with the QM2007 16.0.x version. But you will need an older (pre Lion) version of Mac OS X to run it on.

And, just to clarify, an iPad of any vintage can't help with opening an old Quicken Mac file at all.

My desktop is not a ppc. It is Intel based running OS 10.11.6. My version of Q2007 is 16.2.4 Lion compatible. So, I guess I'm SOL unless I can find someone with an old ppc and a pre lion version of quicken. Thanks for trying

You do not need a PPC to run QM2007 pre-Lion...just any Mac that is running OS X 10.6.8 or older (like I am).

I found a friend with a computer running 10.6.8. Does anyone have a link to where I can download QM 2007 16.0. pre lion? Thanks so much!
Please report back on how successful you are getting this from Quicken Support. Otherwise, you may have to try alternate sources like eBay, Craigslist, etc.

Diane, this may not be quite Kosher, but if you look at this thread, there's a user, Bill, who is looking for an old Quicken 2007 version 16.2.4, which you have. And he has a 2007 version 16.0.x, which you want. So perhaps if you get in touch, you can help each other out...

Just to let you know, I got the file to open on my friend's computer! Thanks to all who replied.
Great. Now if you copy the "converted" QM2007 non-LC file over to the Mac running QM2007-LC and QM2017, either program will be able to open that file (QM2017 will actually convert it).

And the Q Mobile App requires a desktop product, also, to function.
