Dropdown to Include/Exclude selected Tags in custom report

Dropdown to Include/Exclude selected Tags in custom report:

In QM17 > Customize Report,
the Tag panel should be
[ INCLUDE ][ EXCLUDE ] only transactions with [ ANY ][ ALL ] of the selected tags.

The word "include" that's there now, should be a DROPDOWN to select Include or Exclude, just as we have a dropdown for Any or All.

This is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY because many transactions do not have a tag. So if we do select-all, then de-select a tag, to exclude that tag, all transactions that don't have any tags are also excluded.

Such a basic logic issue. Sheesh!!!

I believe this is the same IDEA request as this: Please take a look and confirm.

It's the same concept, yes. But personally, I think a MUCH better solution would be an explicit UI dropdown to Exclude or Include, as described in my idea-post above, because implementing a "no tag" tag is somewhat of a hack itself, and much less clear to the user, than a dropdown. The UI already has logic for "all" vs "any". And this "exclude" vs "include" is precisely the same thing -- modifying the database query. Adding this additional dropdown, above the list of tags, makes the functionality VASTLY more obvious, than finding a "no tag" tag in the list of tags -- which isn't purely logical.

Thx. Since the purpose is the same, this will be moved and merged into the other thread. The goal is not to necessarily specify the way the goal is met but to improve the UI to make this possible, more obvious and easier.

The intention is to keep all related solutions together.

Hi, first time generating a report using Quicken 2017..   not happy.     Can't see the tags on a split transaction, can't link to the transaction by clicking on an item in the report to find out what the tag should be..  help!        Was running Quicken 2007, took all this for granted.
