Amazon product - no activation code

I ordered the 27 month Quicken 2018 product.  After opening the box (had to slit a tamper strip), inside I found a CD and a card but no activation code.  The enclosed card says the code is below.  Is it just a case I got a card without any code, or is there something else?

    Please contact Quicken Support. They should be able to give you an alternate activation code.

    In the past, I have spent hours on hold for support - if you want to get me a phone number without long delays I will call it.  (as far as I know, there is no private messaging option on this board).  If you want to post an email to contact you great.  Otherwise I will return this product to Amazon.

    Actually the chat time listed on the link you provided is more than twice the phone wait time!

    And frankly from what I see in the posts here, you can't count on that prediction to being even close to being correct.  That is certainly something they should get fixed.

    BTW what a mess if the activation codes aren't printed on all the Amazon "cards".

    Since the phone wait time was 10 minutes, I called.   Actual wait time 9 minutes.  The best deal they could offer me was 24 months for $59.99 and get a refund from Amazon.  Since my Quicken 2017 will work for another year, I just processed the Amazon return process.

    Well it sounds like they might be past most of the calls for changing from the Intuit Id to the Quicken Id, or people are out shopping.  :-)

    Hey Quicken Sona, what is this Alternate Activation Code?  It sounds like a code that doesn't let a user Enjoy the full use of Quicken.

    I just received Quicken from Amazon and my card is the same - no activation code printed on the card.  This is insane!

    Hi David. Please call support with your activation code insert and receipt. Support can give you a new activation key.

    The specific Quicken practice may be different now, but when I call Quicken Support they were offering me 24 months vs the 27 months built into the Amazon product.  Just request a refund form Amazon.  I got a new product in 2 or at most 3 days and a free shipping label to return my product.  Sure this is a PITA, but machines screw up.  Some how when the label before yours went into the code printer, two labels got stuck together.

    I have been asking for my activation code for MONTHS ...why must i asked for something i paid for? i have used Quicken for years this might be my last year..
    Every time i ask a question i get the run around I paid for LIVE Support and NOTHING [Email removed for privacy.]

    You CAN'T request a refund from Amazon. I tried. This is a scam, and I will no longer be a customer of Intuit or Amazon because of it. According to what I've read here, even the people who paid for premium support got the runaround. I think it's time to unite in a class action suit against Intuit and Amazon.
