Home Quicken for Mac Errors and Troubleshooting (Mac)

why can't I hit enter to bring up a new transaction on MAC version?

I just updated to Mac 2018. I hate that I have to use the mouse to add a "new" transaction when I manually add. On the windows version, when finished with a transaction, hitting enter would automatically bring up a new transaction line. it really slows me down when entering data.

From the keyboard - use the combination Cmnd+N to open a new transaction.

If you are entering a series of transactions, hit Cmnd+N when you finish the last data entry - the current transaction is entered and a new one is opened.

    Just to clarify a little...
    • If you are not currently editing a transaction, you can hit Cmd-N to start a new one.
    • If you are currently entering a transaction, when you hit Cmd-N, it will save the current transaction and start a new one.
    • When you are done with the last transaction, you should hit Enter (not Cmd-N). If you hit Cmd-N when you are all done, you will end up with blank unfilled transaction in the register.
