Try going into your windows font settings and increase the font size.   This works with the banking and credit card registers.    It does not work in the investing and portfolio screens.

Thank you, but it is not the font, but the window size itself.  The sequence "Planning/Lifetime Planner/Change Assumptions" results in a small scaled window to review assumptions.  I would expect (and seem to recollect) that I had been able to enlarged the assumptions screen.  However, this was in versions prior to 2016.  I had hoped this was corrected in the newest version which has been billed as dealing with more recent issues/frustrations.

    Hi Dennis,

I'm running QW2018 HBR r7.5 (latest rev) and the assumptions window cannot be resized. Help us understand why you want to enlarge the assumptions dialog - what do you need it to do by resizing?  I assume that you want to improve readability that the font size suggestion, offered above, did not satisfy?

There is a thread to collect ideas and improvements to Lifetime Planner here: https://getsatisfaction.com/quickencommunity/topics/lifetime-planner-bug-and-idea-list-make-yourself...

More specifically, there is a problem reported in this thread dealing with a number of issues around window scaling and font sizes in particular.   https://getsatisfaction.com/quickencommunity/topics/quicken-2017-lifetime-planner-fields-not-long-en...

Have a look, if you like, vote them up and tell Quicken you want a change and why.

I think I see what you mean now, Dennis.   When I turn on large fonts (View>Use Large Fonts) and then go back to the LTP>Assumptions window, the text runs off the right side of the window.   The expectation is that when switching font sizes to large fonts (or perhaps any size fonts), the window should auto-size to avoid right-scrolling.  See image.

I will add this to the LTP bug and idea.

Agreed, this has been an annoying bug for years. A workaround is to use one of the LTP links under the Event Status (Retirement Plan) or Monthly Savings Targets (Retirement Contribution) windows in that LTP screen. They open the LTP in a normal window with sizing tools activated and Min/Max icons. Frustratingly, the capability is already built into the Quicken LTP; it's just not used where it intuitively should be.

    From C. D. Bales:

Going back as far as Q2012, I find no evidence that Quicken ever allowed the "Change Assumptions" window to be resized.

And in Q2018, Q2016, and Q2014; I have no problem seeing all the Change Assumptions text without horizontal scrolling ... unless I have the Quicken View option "Use Large Fonts" selected.
