Updated Mobile App - Budget

My mobile app was recently updated with what appears to be a significant refresh. The previous version of the mobile app indicated that the budget capability was "temporarily" disabled. However, the new version indicates that the budget can be enabled by setting it up on the desktop so it can be synced with mobile. However, I already have a budget setup but am unable to get it to sync with the new mobile app. Please advise. Thanks

Have you selected budgets to sync in the Mobils & Alerts tab in your Quicken desktop?

Right after the new mobile app and Quicken Mac 5.7 were released, they detected a crashing problem with the budget syncing, and proceed to disable that feature until they could find the cause and fix it. I don't know if anything more has been posted about this, or if there's an ETA for having things update. I'm just letting you know what you're seeing is likely because they turned off the feature (again) temporarily.

Troy, read the timeline from Quicken Marcus (the Quicken Mac product manager) in his announcement of and updates to the release of version 5.7.x for Mac at the top of this thread:

I am using Premier 2018 for Windows and found out that multi-year budgets will not sync on the mobile app. The error on the mobile app in the budget area says, "[month] budget not available." When I deleted all budgets on the desktop and recreated the multi-year budget as a one-year-only, budget, the budget appeared in the mobile app on the next sync.

Another note: If you use sub-categories in your desktop budget, the main section head related to the subs must be selected in your desktop budget and appear in the plan, or the sub categories won't appear on the mobile. An additional category called, "Everything else," appears, too, and can be ignored.

Cool when it works. Tricky to get there, though. Hope this helps.

I too use subscription Quicken Canada 2018 (on Windows 10) and I too cannot get budgets to sync, despite claims from the Quicken team elsewhere that this should work as of the August mobile app refreshes.

While this is not a deal breaker for me, it is annoying to have wasted time on it. It should “just work”.

An update to Quicken Canada 2018 was released this week, and with it, my budget now appears in the mobile app. So at least for me, the issue is resolved.
