I want to add my new iPad but I don't seem to have a Mobile & Alerts tab in my Quicken window

Check that you have the Mobile and Alerts Tab selected in the View menu:

Thanks, that did the trick. Now if only Quicken for IOS didn't have such lousy reviews..
