Let's take a minute to acknowledge the hard work that the Quicken team does!
Being a senior tech, I have worked in the IT industry for a solid 2 decades.
I know that a lot of end users want to see resolution to their problems ASAP but I ask that them to be patient seeing that things are much more complicated than most can fathom
Quicken and its myriad of versions is not an easy piece of software to maintain. Not only do you have to be a proficient developer but you also have to have under your belt a good amount of knowledge of how managing finances work.
Every little bug that the Quicken development team fixes must be scrutinized before being released to the public (also known as production).
One small change, no matter how inconsequential it seems will have ramifications on God knows how many other modules and functions throughout Qucken.
If that isn't enough to worry about, they also have to maintain consistency across the board.
If they make a bug fix on Qucken 2018 for PC's, then they have to do likewise for Mac.
Then they have to contemplate whether the bug fix will touch upon backward compatibility with previous versions.
Then, you have to take into consideration financing the projects and the company politics behind it.
Add 3rd party interactions and well... you can begin to get an idea of the complexity of the matter.
I graduated as a programmer/analyst but my experience in the field has given me a good amount of knowledge.
So, to wrap this up - way to go guys and girls at Quicken for providing a great product, a stable product and I am truly humbled at the vast amount of knowledge you guys have at Quicken.
KUDOS!
