I think the subject says it all. Quicken team, can I use the Touch ID feature on my MacBook Pro? Thanks.

Feature Request - Quicken for Mac - Touch ID
It sure would be great to have
Touch ID support
for the Quicken for Mac app running on compatible MacBook Pros! I use a long password for good security and would love to just be able to sign in with my finger.
Please enable TouchID on MacBook Pro to unlock quicken files that have a password on them.
I got in that way, so it must be fixed!
Please add this feature for Touch ID fingerprint recognition to Quicken for Mac. Touch ID has been out for over a year now and Quicken still hasn't caught up!! I have pain in my hands so I need to limit my typing but a password is not something that I can voice.
would sure be nice to have Touch ID on the Mac OS platform.
Why is this taking s olong to implement for Mac computer users? Please put some emphasis on this much requested upgrade.
this much requested upgrade.
"much requested" and it has only received 8 votes in a 20 months??
I don't understand.

please activate touch id for mac!
Enabling Touch ID on the Mac would improve security and convenience. Please add this soon....
Is this being worked on by the Quicken team? It would be great to this feature. Thanks
Please allow me to use TouchID on my MacBook to login to the Quicken App!!!
I can log on to many websites (including Quicken) and other apps on my laptop with my Touch ID (fingerprint) built in to my MacBook Air, but it would be nice to log on to my actual Quicken application on my MacBook Air the same way without having to type in my password. thanks for listening.
I interact with this app more than most on my computer. It is one of the very few for which I pay an ongoing subscription fee, and yet it is the only that doesn't allow me to use Touch ID to unlock my file, which I must open several times a week. This isn't a huge inconvenience, but the fact is that people become accustomed to workflows, and since many other developers support Touch ID (1Password, etc.), it is strange and cumbersome to encounter a manual entry login prompt all the time. I could care less about most of your other new features, and actively dislike the ones making a mess of my registers (which I don't have time to go learn how to fix), but this one simple-to-implement feature would make my experience and my opinion of the app much better.
Yes, it's crazy that I have to use a password I can remember rather than a strong one. Please improve the security by supporting Touch ID. This is very sensitive data, so security is an important issues for customers, and making it easier to manage is one of the reasons we use Touch ID.
Still waiting for Touch ID implementation in Mac OS!
Add me to the list! Where is Touch ID for MAC users?!?!?
How hard is it to add touch ID for the MAC version? Hey developers, do you happen to use your own product? I mean if you're a MAC user, and use Quicken, it seems you would understand why this is a bit of a frustration. Please add touch ID.

I'm not a programmer so I can't answer how hard or not this feature is, but that's not the issue. The issue is that there are several hundred features requests from Quicken Mac users, and they have to prioritize which ones to work on in what order. So it's not a question of "is this a good idea?" or "would this be useful?" but "how urgent is this versus other features absent from Quicken Mac."
In my observations over the years, the developers have tended to invest more time on creating features to do things which cannot be done versus things which can be done but could be made better/easier. Touch ID is the latter: it would be convenient and make things faster, but it can be done manually. I'll venture a guess that they deemed this a lower priority because until last year, only laptop users had Touch ID, and the majority of Quicken Mac users use desktop computers. Once the new iMacs began offering Touch ID keyboards, it created an ever-growing group of Mac users who have a Touch ID Mac. And therefore, it's likely that this is now much higher on the priority list. Quicken never pre-announces new features, but base don this reasoning, I'd expect to see this implemented in the fairly near future.
