Which download format will work best for Quicken Windows?

My credit union's credit card provider offers three formats for downloading transactions:
-Excel
-Microsoft Money (OFX)
-CSV

Which one will work best?

Thanks!

You have not stated which version of Quicken (year and OS) you are using.

None of them are going to import without being modified.

This applies to Quicken for Windows, look into ImportQIF (http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/) for a program which will convert the downloaded file (either OFX or CSV) into a QIF file for import.

QIF imports are not possible with Quicken for Mac.

An alternative is to check as to whether or not Quicken has Express Web Connect capability for downloading the transactions.  You haven't stated the full name of the CU, so I can not advise you on that.  Reply with more information and an answer is possible.

What's the name of your Credit Union?
I'm asking so we can look up what the file of supported banks has to say about this.

The FIDIR.txt file entry for Envision CU is:

    10016 10016 10016 Envision Credit Union http://www.envisioncu.com (850) 942-9000
    https://envisioncuonline.com/tob/live/usp-core/app/
    ACTIVE BANKING,CREDIT&WEB-CONNECT
    BANKING,CREDIT,ACCOUNTINFO&EXP-WEB-CONNECT
    NOT_QBP NA

The CREDIT entry in the both the Web Connect and Express Web Connect sections imply that the credit card is downloadable by both methods, but based on what you have stated, I wouldn't count on either.

To see how EWC works, see this article: Connection Types

At this point, I refer you back to my earlier post.

The above is looking at the US FIDIR.txt, are you in Canada?

Note that this is ONLY available in the QWin-US version and NOT in the QWin-CA version. I am not sure which, if any, would be a match for the Collabria MasterCard as only the first two list CREDIT; as noted by splasher, the first one for both Web-Connect (aka QFX file download) and both show Express Web Connect.

The simplest would be to buy and try it with the 30-day money back guarantee.

@smayer97: I read your post several times, and I can't follow your lists and caveats.

@Darryl Kropp: I checked the latest version of the FIDIR.TXT for the Canadian version of Quicken Windows 2019. There are no (i.e. none, zero, zip, nahta) entries for Envision CU; therefore, Quicken 2019 Canadian cannot download any transactions from Envision. Ditto for Collabria.

To clarify, for some reason there are entries for seemingly CANADIAN products in the US version of QWin but not in the CA version. So correct, QWin-CA does not allow downloading data from Envision CU.

As for the US version and credit cards, only 2 of the entries indicate support for credit accounts but this does not appear to match the Collabria product.
