Problem with Rogers Bank downloads

They have recently changed their download procedure and downloads to Quicken stopped working. They offer only .ofx or .csv as opposed to .qif previously. Does anyone know how to import their version of .ofx?

I suggest ImportQIF ( http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/ ), it will convert either file type to QIF.
    -splasher  using Q since 1996 -  Subscription  -  Win10
-also older versions as needed for testing

    Have you tried this
yet (if your bank recently changed their website or password requirements)?

How to refresh financial institution information
    (Branding)

    Please read and
    follow instructions here:

    https://www.quicken.com/support/server-issue-troubleshooting

    If that doesn't
    resolve the issue:

    • It is the bank's contractual
obligation to notify their Account Manager at Intuit Inc. of any changes
to their websites and download functions in a timely manner before
      the change is implemented.
    • The bank also needs to notify
their customers of this change and any actions that might be required by
      the customer to regain access.
    • Complain to your bank's upper
      level management.
    • Also contact Quicken Support
via Chat or Phone at https://www.quicken.com/support#contact-support  and report this Online Banking issue, so
that Intuit Inc. can be notified of the issue.  Ultimately, however, the bank must work
together with Intuit on solving this update issue.

    Please let us know
if you were able to get this issue resolved (or not).

Rogers has never supported online access, just .qif download.
The .csv to .qif converter works for me now.

Too bad cannot use this for QMac as it does not support QIF import.

You would have to use a converter to QFX.

Too bad as I was seriously considering getting this card.

Yet another Rogers screw up and poor support for transaction management. It's bad enough to have to manually update the qfx file to get it to import qif. I am certainly not going to pay to use some 3rd party software from the internet.

I sent a support message and if they reply negatively about QIF, this card is gone.

To which support did you send a message, Rogers or Quicken? If to Rogers, the desire ought to be to get them to generate a QFX file.

Rogers and yes I stated about QFX again as I have on several previous occasions. Still no reply but I figure they are probably flooded with bug complaints on their new site.

Thank you for contacting Rogers Bank. We appreciate your feedback concerning downloading Statements in QIF format. As we are currently completing our upgrade of the new site, we do ask for your patience in this matter. We apologize for any inconvenience as we work towards a resolution.
  • They had QIF in last software version and not in latest - I contacted them also & they said they will be adding the QIF download feature - but could not give a timeline ..
I have used the CSV download then CSV to QIF  free conversion ( https://csvconverter.biz/user/login).
only issue is that when I import the converted QIF file - the transaction dates are lost? have to enter them manually - also does not do good job on matching transactions..

anyone have an idea of how to keep dates on conversion ??

I am a MS Money user and they broke the .ofx too! I have been using a .csv conversion tool to import my transactions since the .ofx will not work due to errors.
  • I've been working on this issue as well since their website update.  No help received from Rogers Bank.  They are not a Quicken-Approved Financial Inst.
Already working towards dropping their Card....

I wrote them 2 emails about the issue and got canned answers both time.

I recently joined the Rogers Bank club and like many people already mentioned, disappointed to learn that Quicken file formats have not been supported. There are actually two problems here:

    1. Rogers Bank is not on the Quicken's FI list due to a simple reason - they don't want to pay Quicken licence fees;
    2. The OFX file they provide for a download is malformed and not fully complaint with the OFX standards, hence, cannot be used/imported AS IS and needs some work...

From my communications with them it is unclear whether they'd consider supporting Quicken file formats in the near future. I guess, they need a strong business case for this to happen :)
