Home Quicken for Mac Download, Add/Update Accounts (Mac)

I recently converted from Quicken for Windows (R17.6) to Quicken for Mac. Most of the conversion went well with the exception of Investment accounts. Several of my accounts did not convert completely. I followed all the recommended pre-conversion steps (validation of the Quicken file, etc.). I performed the conversion twice and got the same result. Is there a way to delete the incorrect investment accounts and then create them anew from the online accounts for the investment manager?

You can delete the accounts and then set them up anew assuming the brokerage(s) allow transaction download. However, you will probably only get 90 days of history. Quicken will create placeholder transactions to bring your share totals up to date. If you are okay with that, then you're good to go.

You may also be able to get a longer history in the form of a QFX file downloaded from the brokerage. How far back that may go depends on the brokerage.

One thing to consider is if you have BUYX, SELLX, etc transactions in QWin. Those do not transfer over and do mess up the investment accounts. Is that the case for you? If so, you need to change those first before migrating over.

I was able to complete this with ease.  I got ten months of history on those accounts.  Thanks for the suggestion.
