Quicken does not open .QFX file automatically

    I'm the OP and want to update the thread with the news that my problem has now gone away - with no action on my part!  Quicken is opening and loading QFX files again, just like it used to.  I'm not the only one to report this miraculous "cure" so there may be hope for others who are experiencing difficulty with downloads since updating to R16.16.

    Thanks for the heads up Chris .  I just retried downloading my bank transactions and everything is working again! Yippee!!

    @Chris Sowerby: the fact that the problem magically went away on its own suggests to me that there was some issue with Quicken's "call home" function, wherein, when opening a QFX, Quicken calls home to the Quicken server that manages subscriptions to check whether the file is associated with a Quicken ID that has a current subscription.

    Sounds like a plausible explanation, guess it's up to Quicken to figure out how to avoid this next time they issue an update.
