Seems ridiculous they did not include something as basic as that . But - it is Quicken after all.
It's simple as a concept, but implementing it in the software is anything but simple. Quicken has hundreds of windows, panels, dialogs and reports, and all would need to be revisited to support viable font sizes (and possibly-related options, such as choosing different fonts or font colors).
That said, anything is do-able given proper investment of time and money, so you might want to visit this idea thread asking for adjustable font sizes and click the big, blue Vote button at the upper right. (It'll take you 10 seconds.) This topic has received a lot of votes over time, so it's an issue the developers certainly should be aware of in considering what features and functionality to tackle in the future.

Thanks I understand BUT they are charging us every year now is they should be giving us a quality product - I did vote. It is just such a poor font choice for those of us with "older eyes"

Linda, I understand your frustration. Here's the thing: every Quicken user who has something they want added to or improved in Quicken thinks it should have gotten/be getting attention. The list of requests is a mile long. And the developers can work on only a handful at a time. Generally, they're trying to attack the things they think impact the largest number of users. That's like why they haven't done this one yet, or something like replicating QuickMath from Quicken 2007 -- because they're working on building a more complete set of reports, allowing budgets to include transfers between funds, giving users more control over auto-categorization of transactions and "memorized" transactions, etc. The great hope is that as they were able to build up the size of the staff over the past two years, new features will come out of the lab more quickly this year -- but some of these changes are complex and require months of work.

Appreciate your explanation . I have been a Quicken user since day one . I actually had a programmer ( from Radio Shack) create a similar, less sophisticated program for me following the old "One Write" system back in the 80s- he would have been rich if he'd realized the potential. We all want change but we all hate change - ha.
on the other hand i don't think is absurd to expect in this day and age for any software to provide minimal customizations capabilities to configure the fonts (look at quicken for windows). qmac has NONE and that's not a good thing.
The register fonts were adjustable in Quicken for Windows. Why not in Quicken for Mac? Experienced (old) users are paying for a product that is difficult to use. The explanations are noted, but Linda P is correct.
Tim, there are hundreds of differences between Quicken Windows (developed over 30 years) and Quicken Mac (re-developed from scratch over about 7 years). Some of those difference are by design, some are dues to differences in the Mac versus Windows interface, but many are because the Mac developers haven't gotten to that particular feature yet. They have a long, long list of user requests to improve functionality, and they prioritize by what they perceive will help the largest number of users. They also prioritize adding features which simply cannot be done/have no workaround over those which would be nice usability enhancements. There are more users clamoring for better reports, for instance, which is why the latest release adds a major new report type many users have been waiting for. (Please understand I'm not offering an excuse for Quicken's pace of development, only explaining why some features such as this don't exist yet.)

Other than that, you may need to either change the screen resolution in macOS System Preferences or use macOS screen zoom feature.
