Chase Credit Card QFX Download problems into Quicken for Mac 2007
High Sierra 10.13.6 Quicken for Mac 2007 16.2.4
Suddenly last week the QFX file downloaded from a Chase Credit Card account updates the total but does not include any transactions. Everything proceeds as normal but no transactions. I have disabled/enabled the account but to no effect. Any ideas, please?

The QFX can be viewed with a TextEdit. If you have never looked inside,it might look a little cryptic but you should be able to figure out if there are any transaction data in the file.

Thank you for taking the time to share the details of this issue with the Community, although I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues downloading transactions from Chase Bank into Quicken.
It sounds as though the Chase Support Agent may have transferred you to a third party company who claims to be support for Quicken but are in actuality a scam who charge large sums of money for their "assistance".
Quicken Support is always free and available by phone or chat by visiting https://www.quicken.com/support#contact-support.
We've received notification that the known issues with Chase Bank have been resolved and all accounts should now be able to be added or updated in Quicken, however since you are still receiving an error please contact our Support Team so they may look further into this.
Thank you,
Sarah

Did it by using text-edit to open and compare an early Jan 2019 QFX file to a recent one that would not add transactions to the register. (See contents in my previous post.) I noticed that the earlier file had a blank line following the "NEWFILEUID:NONE" line so I simply edited the recent file to add the blank line.
Next I opened QM2007, clicked on download and imported the edited QFX. Viola! It worked!!!
Of Note:
I've spent far too much time with both Chase and Quicken support which has left me exasperated. A couple of reps did their best to help me resolve this issue but without success. None of them seemed to have the technical savvy to think of looking inside the downloaded file or to suggest shortening the filename. So, many thanks to you, @NotAPCA, for the edit tip. And also thanks to you,@smayer97, for suggesting that the extra-long filename might be the culprit. Indeed, maybe it was just the shorter filename afterall? Notice that MAC Finder now lists these QFX files as being OFX documents rather than Quicken 2007.app docs. I think its a 32 v 64 bit battle.
I remain reluctant to switch to 2019 as the reviews are far less than stellar...built on QBasics and QEssentials.
Thanks for sharing your solution.
