CIBC transfers and bill payment

Hi
I'm having problems with CIBC transfers between accounts and bill payments. The catagory is wrong when downloading information from CIBC. The dollars and the transit number is correct but not the catagory. Any one else with this error?

    To be able to give you an answer, we need a bit more information.

    Are you using the Windows or Mac version?

    To clarify, you are able to complete transfers and bill pay payments, but the category of these are incorrect?

    I am using windows 10. Yes the transfers and payments numbers are correct and get done but when downloading the category is incorrect.

    Thank you for that additional information.  To make sure we are understanding correctly, is Quicken assigning an incorrect transfer category to the downloaded transactions?  Transfer categories have brackets around the category name, such as [Savings] or [Checking]

    Or is Quicken assigning a regular category to the transaction instead of a transfer category?

    If no transfer category is being assigned, please go to the Edit menu in Quicken and select Preferences.  In the window that opens, select "Transfer Detection" from the left side of the window.  On the right side, what option is selected?



    If the option to Scan downloaded transactions for possible transfers is not selected or the option to automatically created transfers is marked, please change it to the "Confirm possible transfers before entering in register" option.
