After downloading transactions from bank the balance in Quicken is way off, how do I fix that?

in Download, Add/Update Accounts (Windows)
Existing checking account on quicken for year that was reconciled. Downloaded from bank and hit accept. Now the Quicken balance is thousands off.

    Well... you didn't reconcile for an entire year ?
    What's different - dups, missing checks, etc - ?
    Quicken 2020 Deluxe - Subscription - Windows 10
