Install Lower Level

I am currently using the Premier level and it has expired. I don’t use any online functions and would like to renew with the Quicken Starter edition. Will my backed up files work in the lower version?

Probably, but that depends upon the product year of Premier that you're running. Do HELP, About Quicken for this info.BUT. Starter Edition is still a subscription ... and when THAT subscription expires, your data files become READ ONLY.SO, I'd suggest that you downgrade to Deluxe, not Starter. Also, shop around. eBay, Amazon, WalMart, etc usually have better prices, and sometimes longer subscription periods, that does Q itself.Q user since DOS version 5

Also remember that Starter Edition does not support Investment Accounts and a whole bunch of other asset and liability account types.
Starter is meant for beginners who only have checking, savings, cash and credit card accounts to worry about. As soon as you need to add investment and retirement accounts to the mix, you'll have to upgrade to at least Deluxe.
