USD - CAD Currency Conversion

I have populated the currency list for CAD - USD conversion with the month end exchange rates, yet the Quicken reports are not pulling the correct rate. Why doesn't the Account balances report show the CAD equivalent at the report date? I'm using Quicken Canada Home & Business 2019 R16.22. The report is not using the rate on the date the US currency was purchased either, instead it is using another date's rate. Can Quicken track the cost base of US cash?

Yes, this is a VERY misleading feature of multi-currency support in QWin-CA. In fact, reports only use the LAST exchange rate. The only place actual exchange rates of the day are used is at the transaction level.

I wish Quicken would use the tables, since they are there, or at least give the option to choose which to use.
