Stuck in one step update loop

I cannot exit the program, as it says One-step update is ongoing. This started after the most recent update.

    Is it One Step Update taking a long time to complete? Or is it a Sync to Mobile / Web process taking longer than expected?
    These are two different issues, requiring different solutions.
    So, more details, please.
    And remember: A full Sync to Mobile may take many minutes to complete.

    If you haven't rebooted Windows since you installed the latest software update, please do so now and then try Quicken again.
