Quicken Starter Edition running on Windows vista asks for PW but does not give an entry box

after quicken updated upon startup it asked for an ID Password in a blank window and did not give an entry box, was essentially locked up. had to shutdown computer, upon restart, same thing occurs.

I believe it's 2016 or earlier. It's been working fine for the past year, but the problem ocurred after the auto update0

What do you know about the auto update? If your version is 2016 or earlier, those versions are no longer supported and not likely to have recently received any update.
