Quicken - Projected Balances

Hi All - I raised this issue when Quicken 2016 was current. I have today upgraded to 2019 and find the issue described below still exists. Projected Balances allows you to enter a Custom To Date. It does not prevent you from putting any date as far as you like into the future. So 01/01/2050 is acceptable and the graphical Projected Balance data is displayed perfectly. The problem is that if you want to check that certain key 'projected' transactions are present such as regular income amounts, you need to click on the dots on the graph to see what lies behind that projected balance, this is very hit and miss and a real painful process. The Root Cause behind this is that: You cannot use the Show Details button to display the detail behind the graph as the Show Detail time span is only 2+ years into the future.
Please don't anyone try to lecture me as to why would I want to project that far into the future as someone did when i reported when using 2016, as my answer would be why not if it helps with my Pension Planning.
With Quicken boasting they have introduced over 500+ user requests I would like to add this to any wish list. In my mind it's a BUG, but I will be happy if it is handled as an Enhancement.
Thank you
David

I suggest you consider using the sortable table below the graph.0

Hi Sherlock. That table is exactly the issue I refer to. It does not contain the same data as displayed in the graph if the graph time projection is beyond 2+ years.0

How do we get this fixed. It shouldn't be difficult to get the table row count result to match the graph output right?0

Hi Sherlock. Can I please request that this be set as an idea so votes can be applied for a fix.
Many thanks.0 -

Thanks Sherlock. The more I think about this issue, the more I would say it is a bug rather than an enhancement or new feature 'idea'. The button you click to view the table data is labelled 'Show Details' meaning show the detail data supporting the graph output. Clearly this is not showing all data from the graph and should therefore be addressed as a bug in my humble opinion. How do we get this registered as a Bug
Many Thanks

I'm requesting an additional ask to your Idea. I have the projected balance for my main spending account set to display 2 years into the future for cash flow projections.
Regarding the request for additional transactions beyond the 2 -year display limit, I would also like to see that in the form of a customizable report. The ability to subtotal by years or quarters would be helpful when comparing those projected totals to actual past spending.0 -
Sounds good to me Marcus0

Hi All (@Sherlock). I made a simple test today by creating a new Quicken File and setting up a 2 x reminders. One for income and one for outgoing each equal $1000 on the same date every month with no end date. I then ran the Projected Balance graph and was pleased to see that the SHOW DETAILS button did not end +2 years into the future, it did correctly report the detail for the whole forecast range! See attached image. So my question now is what transactions in my LIVE file would cause the issue in my original post. IE, To cause the Show Detail to stop at +2 Years? I have always upgraded my existing file when upgrading Quicken could there be something in the file data causing this issue?0

Furthermore - More info on previous test. Tested using one account. Then added a saving account and set up a transfer reminder. Everything is projected correctly and the full SHOW DETAIL forecast was displayed. So there must be something with my data/setup causing the SHOW DETAIL to end 2 Years into the Projected Balance Forecast.0
