I got a new computer... instead using my 2017 Quicken CD, I downloaded it via the internet.
I can't get out of the "sign in" screen... it keeps asking me to sign in... then it gives me an error message "quicken's online service is unavailable at this time, please try again".
i have not been able to use Quicken in 2 months, I called their support a couple of time, spent over an hour, still can't get it fixed.

Sounds like it did not update to the latest patch release, so go to this link, Quicken Updates , download and save the 2017 patch release, then execute that patch release.

no problem with my Quicken IP
not using VPN
just spent 2 hours with Quicken Help Desk... but no go
the only 1 thing i can think of ---- i bought my laptop in taiwan, does it matter? window was in chinese, but change it over to english now0 -

I wasn't asking about your IP address, the x.x.x.x is the format of the Quicken build that is displayed when you do Help->About Quicken like I asked.-splasher using Q since 1996 - Subscription - Win10

Were you able to contact them? At any point did you try creating a new admin?
