RESOLVED 10/19/19 Synchrony Store-Branded Cards Require User Action

Quicken for Windows and Quicken for Mac Users may receive an error when attempting to add or update accounts with Synchrony Store-Branded cards (Lowe's, CareCredit, Banana Republic, etc.).

Users with these cards may receive any of the following errors:

CC-508 (QWin)/ Error 108 (QMac) or "User Action is required at the website"
CC-509 (QWin)/Error 109 (QMac) or "Password Change is required at the website"
CC-585 (QWin)/Error 185 (QMac) or "Missing security response. Please log into the website and update your security questions"
CC-587 (QWin)/Error 187 (QMac) or "Incorrect answer to security question. Please log into the website to update your security answers"

These errors are caused by Synchrony currently requiring customers who hold their store-branded credit cards (Lowe's, CareCredit, Banana Republic, etc.) to update their user information at the website.

This may consist of adding/verifying your phone number, selecting new security questions and answers, or changing your password, depending on the User Action the financial institution is requesting.

Please follow the steps from Synchrony to complete the update of your User profile when prompted.
