ONGOING 1/15/20: American Express credit card account errors - CC-505/105, CC-504/104 or OL-332

Quicken for Mac and Quicken for Windows Users will receive any of the following errors when attempting to add or update their American Express credit card accounts in Quicken:

CC-505 (QWin)/Error 105 (QMac)
CC-504 (QWin)/Error 104 (QMac)
OL-332 (QWin & QMac) Direct Connect only

This is a known issue and is already being worked on by the service provider for Amex. We do not have an ETA from the service provider, as they're still working through several changes to their systems.

The cause of the errors is Amex's service provider is currently making changes to systems and connections, and will need to block 3rd party aggregators like Quicken while they implement these changes.

They have blocked and lifted this temporary block several times over the past few months, and have provided no date when they expect this update to be fully completed.

We cannot assist with the OL-332 error that many of our Direct Connect users are experiencing because we do not have access to the AmEx servers and the customer account information held on them, necessary to resolving this Invalid Login Credentials error. If you are receiving OL-332 when updating AmEx only, please contact their online banking support at 800-297-7500 for further assistance.

    We have received confirmation that this behavior is on-going with no ETA on when the temporary block will be permanently lifted.

    In the meantime, this Alert is being moved to the Current Online Banking Issues queue and will be updated as new information and/or a resolution becomes available.

    This issue is still listed as ongoing, although the CC-505/105 and CC-504/104 errors are no longer being reported.

    Some Direct Connect Users are still reporting the OL-332 error, however.

    The Service Provider for American Express is continuing to work on resolving this, however, there is currently no ETA on when the update to their systems will be completed.
