Add Quicken For Windows "Current Budget" report to Q Mac

If QFM had the Current Budget report as is in Quicken for Windows (no details, just totals) and I could export into Excel, I could delete my VMWare virtual machine I run for the sole purpose of running QFW.

  • I export my Quicken for Windows "Current Budget" report to Excel. The report does not include detailed transactions. I use Excel for managing my budget using a home grown "budget envelope" approach which is not possible even in QFW.

@Rich Blackburn I'm confused whether you are requesting this feature for Quicken Windows for Quicken Mac? You selected a Quicken Mac category, but you only discussed Quicken Windows.

In Quicken Mac, you can export a full or summary budget. (The export format for all Quicken data is .csv (not .xlsx) which can be used by Excel.

I don't have Quicken Windows, so I don't know what the budget export looks like from Windows. But Quicken Mac can export a summary budget: on the budget screen, click Export on the right side of the toolbar, and select "Export Summary Budget CSV" from the pop-up menu. This creates a spreadsheet with categories as the rows and actual, budget and difference values for the columns. If this doesn't meet your needs, please explain further what it is you would like the Quicken Mac export to offer.
