Why won't my new password work? (Q Mac)

No matter how many times I change my password I get the "incorrect" message on the Quicken prompt. All I want to do is open the Quicken software I have (even though it is 2015) and use it manually, no on-line stuff. I paid for it, used it, and want to keep using it. I've changed the Intuit (use Turbo Tax all the time), changed the Quicken - although they claim you can use one password to access all your products - NOTHING. Unusable software! Intuit recognizes my changed password activity - but to no avail. What am I missing?

    Quicken hasn't been owned by Intuit for the last several years, so changing your password with Intuit has no bearing on your Quicken.

    Please reply with the exact version number of your Quicken 2015. Are you changing your password on Quicken.com? It would help to understand exactly what message you are seeing and what you have done prior to it coming up.
