Is there a plan for Quicken text field to accept UTF-8?

    Not likely. Why do you feel there is a need?

    It is handy to be able to use other languages, especially in the "Memo" field.

    Nowadays, in programming, unless you have very good reasons, it is probably best for text fields to simply just accept UTF-8 (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UTF-8 for share of different encodings).

    Python 3's string defaults to Unicode, UTF-8.

    It would be handy to have the full modern character set, but Quicken is older than UTF-8.
    C++ strings are by default of type "char *", pointer to 8-bit character.

    Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, now using QWin Premier Subscription on Win10 Pro.
