QFX file when opened or imported won't update account transactions

QFX downloaded bank transactions are not showing up. So as a work around I manually type in the transactions but the next day they are GONE. I turned off animation, no help. Spent 1+hr reading the Community, nothing working for me. Today is Jan3, started Dec 5th. Example my credit card is missing downloads from Dec 5 to Dec 30th inclusive.

    SOLVED by rebuilding an old backup file from mid-October 2019. 2 helpful calls to CHAT/Quicken however, was not able to repair file. Lesson to self make routine backups on a biweekly basis and DON'T wait 1 mth to download online transactions which delayed finding the error.

    If it's missing downloads, it's usually because they've already been downloaded. Do you mean by "downloaded bank transactions are not showing up" that they don's appear at the bottom of the account when you "download" them?
  • I did a normal download Dec 30th and instead of receiving 2wks of data I only got 2 days...so I entered them MANUALLY (all accounts), not once but twice and they appear to save but then a day later they disappear. I have been using Quicken for 21 yrs.

    If manually entered transactions appear to disappear from the register, what Date Range filter have you selected in your account register?

    The QFX file can be opened with a text reader to confirm that data has been downloaded.

    If you have not previously seen the downloaded transactions, it could be as UKR mentioned, regarding visibility filters, or you might try the One Step Update to test that the Quicken has connection issues. If expired, it will not import the downloaded data.
  • On vacation with another couple, so not able to do much right now. I have manually reconciled 2 times before, then I go to bed (on one account). I wake up the next day and the manually entered transactions are NOT THERE. I did NOT do any online activity. My transactions end Dec 4th instead of Jan 6th. Again I have been using Quicken for 20+ yrs! QFX download file used days ago on Jan3 <DTSTART>20191209 <DTEND>20191230020000[-5:EST]. Starting to think about exporting FILE to another computer and starting fresh.
