    > If Quicken is trying to refresh outdated or no longer valid information, the multiple failed requests during the update can cause a slowdown or hang to occur.
    > Removing any outdated information from the update should speed up the One Step Update since it is not having to process through internal errors/issues for invalid data requests.

May I suggest an enhancement for a future release: Since options are clearly identified in the list, and options all have expiration dates, Quicken should be able to auto-remove any option that has been updated once following its expiration date.

Second enhancement, which may be slightly more complex: If a lookup on a symbol fails multiple times (symbol no longer exists), either auto-remove it from OSU or at least ask the user if the symbol should be removed.

    Thanks for your consideration.

Exchange-traded options do pile up if you're an active options trader. But the problem with removing them is the same as removing any security: what do you do with the past transactions which used that security? The Buy/Sell and ShortSell/CoverShort pairs refer to those options.
If you are using the current QWin product, you can archive transactions which refer to closed positions. Maybe this will do what you want.
