Quicken users should be able to sort both Savings Goal under Planning Tab and Savings Goals in the Account List.

This completely frustrates me! I am retired and must save/budget for future big expenses. These expenses have different completion dates but are not entered in chronological order. Hence, my list of savings goals is chaotic. I NEED to be able to sort these to make sure I do not miss monthly contributions. I have put up with this issue for YEARS.
Please fix this!!!4 -

so glad I am not the only one frustrated with the lack of improvements to the savings goals for about fifteen years!! Please, please, please - can you make it possible to sort and organize the savings goals? Sorting and grouping would be awesome!!!! :)2
-
Yes Please, this has been a big issue for me, the sort in account list is fine, but does not translate to Planning view\tab. PLEASE correct1
-
Add me to the list of people who want to be able to organize the 'Your Savings Goals' screen. I use savings goals a *lot* and scrolling through most of them to monitor the ones that are a priority is time consuming and frustrating. Alphabetizing would be a great start! Ideally, I would be able to organize them by group or priority level.
How to do we get more people on this bandwagon?
To GeoffG, I make my contributions a bill, and process them the way I do any other regular bill. As the saying goes, "Pay yourself first".1 -
Please make this request a reality! It's sorely needed an a major oversight.0
-
Savings Goals are a wonderful tool, but checking on progress when I can't put them in order is extremely annoying. It should be simple to do! Just alphabetizing them would be a huge improvement!0
-
I agree! It's so frustrating to not be able to reorganize these lists.0
-
Please add this ability to Savings Goals!
This got me so frustrated when I came back to Quicken, that I set up actual "Fund" accounts (Checking accounts with a Savings display option) to allocate savings to them on a regular basis. Their names start with S01-Emergency Fund, S02-Christmas Fund, S03-Property Tax Fund, etc. so they are sorted the way I want them. I use a separate account at my credit union to hold the total of all of the Fund accounts.QW Home, Business, & Rental Property - Version 49.22

Yes, please allow sorting options for "Your Savings Goals" page.0
-
Now with the latest update you cannot maintain the order in the simple account listing let alone in the Savings Goal Listing under the Planning Tab - glitches like these make using features like these annoying for those of us who have been using Quicken for decades!0
-
Very frustrating that I cannot choose display order or change sort on Savings Goals under Planning tab. Can't even get a report showing the same information on that tab so I could export to Excel to review easier. Please, Quicken, add a sort to this tab!0
-
Yes unfortunately sorting in the planning view has been an issue for at least a decade...Certainly makes for a messy screen view
re: report - You can just create a custom report by selecting all your savings goals (NOTE: you probably already see this but the savings goals will show up as "categories" as well as "asset accounts"). Start with just a basic Reports> Spending account>Itemized Categories and then customize by clearing all categories except your Savings Goals). I select "all accounts" because where my funds come and go into the savings goals varies. Once you have the report you can export to excel. Hope this works for you0 -
I would love to be able to sort my Savings Goals by either amount, importance, or alphabetical. Can this be added?0

Hello @bickjm,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community with your request.
I went ahead and merged your Idea to this active Idea thread regarding this topic.
Ideas are reviewed by our Development and Product teams to see what features people would like to have available in the future. Please, be sure to add your own vote as well by clicking the up arrow (see example below).
Thank you!

Hmmm . . . I cannot believe there are not more people requesting a change to be able to sort Savings Goals. And I would think programmers would have done this automatically when they programmed Quicken. "Sorting" is such a big thing in so many programs. Hmmm . . . please add this. :)1
-
Savings goals are the Quicken lost child as far as updates and fixes. It would be very beneficial if the problems and requests associated with the savings goal feature was raised in priority.1
-
Sort Savings Goals!! Sort Savings Goals! Sort Savings Goals! PLEASE!!0
-
I would like to be able to rearrange them as well. Some I just want to shove to the bottom to keep for historical purposes, while the ones I still use regularly need to be near the top. I have quite a few, so it's quite a pain to scroll through looking for things. But at least if they were alphabetical, I'd be able to find them faster if I have to scroll through to find them.1
-
The request for Quicken to set the program to be able to rearrange savings goals has been asked by many people for several years now. Why hasn't it happened yet? VERY frustrating!0
-
An up or down answer would be great. If yes, then a timeline would be appreciated.0

In any event, Quicken never provides a timeline for future features.QWin Premier subscription0 -
It's been a year. When does Intuit deign to no longer call the request "new"? They need to put a team together to sort the backlog.0
-
Quicken has been an independent company, separate from Intuit, for several years now.
If you look in this forum under Categories > Quicken for Windows > Product Ideas, there are several subcategories. Within each, you can view and sort all the active ideas and get an idea of their status and how long some of them have been around. The good news is that this idea has some of the most votes of any in the Budgeting and Planning category.QWin Premier subscription0 -
Definitely agree that the Planning > Savings Goals page needs the capability to sort goals. Ideally, multiple sort options would be offered to the user: 1) alphabetically by account name, 2) chronological by finish date, and perhaps additional options.0
