Question updating subscription [edited title]

I paid to update my Quicken subscription online, but was given a message that only microsoft versions could be downloaded. I still have not downloaded my 2020 version.
What do you suggest I do?

    What exactly are you trying to download and to what computer system / operating system are you trying to download to?
    If you renewed your subscription for Quicken for Windows and Mac OS and you have currently installed "Quicken 2019", check your installed version. It is not necessary to download new software for a new year if you are on the Subscription version already. The process of downloading software updates will automatically upgrade your 2019 to 2020.
    Also check Help / Check Membership Status to query the Quicken server and update your membership status information within Quicken for Windows, to reflect the new subscription duration.
  • I am not sure I am on the subscription version. I bought a dvd for 2019 update, and downloaded it last year in my computers (desktop & laptop} at that time.
    I am using a new laptop now that does not accept dvds.
    So, am I current on 2020, or do I need to do something to use the subscription version?

    If you don't have an installation CD or a CD drive or you didn't save a copy of the downloaded installation file on your hard drive (in Windows typically in a "Downloads" folder) or, even better, on some external storage media (USB stick or external hard drive) or a cloud backup service, please follow these instructions:

    Please provide the year and version of Quicken being used: select Help > About Quicken
