Cannot edit/delete transfer transaction.

instructed to 'go to matching transfer'. When i go to matching transfer (originating transaction) & try update/delete, I am again instructed to go to matching transfer. seems like it is stuck in a look. Tried validating/supervalidating file but get same repsonse.

Did you perform the Copy... prior to the validate?   If you haven't already, you may want to review: https://www.quicken.com/support/advanced-data-file-troubleshooting-correct-problems-quicken-windows
  • i copied, validated & supervalidated, closed & reopened Quicken. Always the same result

Try running a Banking transactions report and maybe you can delete it from there using right click?
Quicken Premier Subscription, Windows 10 Home
  • Still get same response - 'Go to matching transfer'. Tried it in both the originating & recipient accounta

I've got what sounds like the exact same problem and have tried copy, validate, repair, etc., to no avail. I have hundreds of transactions in both accounts, so recreating either account register isn't an option. Any other ideas?

You should be able to recreate the accounts even if you have thousands of transactions in the original accounts.
