Quicken freezes
I am about ready to give up on Quicken and go to Staples to buy some alternative software. Problem I have now is when I enter a transaction in quicken and save it (or press enter), I cannot enter another transaction in the same account. It used to be when I save a transaction I then got a new entry line with a new date. NOW NOTHING HAPPENS. I used to like Quicken, now I think latest version has errors.

What is the path to the folder that contains your Quicken data file? Do you have Controlled Folder Access enabled in Windows Defender? Are you using OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Backup?
