can't find a matching transaction for last year for bill reminder

  • Attempting to use scooterlam's "time of year" method discussed above with no luck. Message says it can't find a matching transaction for last year (it's showing the 2/29/2020 reminder) . When I look in the register I find a 3/1/2019 bill for this vendor. I'm using Windows version R24.14. This bill was entered to the register last year from a bill reminder via one-step update--in fact the same unchanged reminder that's there for this year. I must be doing something wrong??

    Thank you for taking the time to visit the Community to post your issue, although I apologize that you haven't received a response.

    I would start by running the Validate & Repair tool on the data file from the File menu > File Operations > Validate & Repair option.

    In the Validate File window that opens, click the top box to "validate file" and then click OK.

    When the validation completes, a data log will open in Notepad, please let us know if any errors or issues are found/repaired, and when ready close and re-open Quicken.

    Once the validate is complete, are you still unable to match the transaction?
