will my QKN 2017 still work thru 2020?

I have QKN 2017 and only use the spreadsheet and tax data/ category features. Will QKN Starer product provide these features?

Quicken 2017 Starter Edition will continue to work, but in a completely manual mode.

If you have subscription Quicken (2018+) Starter Edition, it would go into READ-ONLY mode if/when your subscription expires.

And ANY expired version of the subscription versions will cause about 25% of your screen to be hijacked with Quicken ad space (mostly for renewal reminders). If you disagree with this new business model, you can add your VOTE to Quicken should eliminate the LARGE Ad space when a subscription expires.

You should call Quicken and discuss with them specifically what you want Quicken to do. They will be able to tell you which version will best meet your wants/needs.  You can also check out the Quicken products comparison (https://www.quicken.com/compare) but it doesn't say much about the tax tracking/reporting support provided by each of the versions.

If all you want to download, categorize, track and report on are bank accounts and credit cards, I think Starter will meet your needs quite well. 

If you also want to do the same with investment and retirement accounts, then Deluxe or perhaps Premier might be a better suited for you.   

Also, if you search on Amazon or eBay you can buy 2018 or 2019 Deluxe and Premium for about the same price as you can buy Starter from Quicken.com.  Since Quicken is now subscription the year (  "2018" and "2019" and "2020") are really nothing more than marketing.  No matter which you buy, when you activate the program/subscription you will be upgraded to the latest revision.  Just make sure the seller has a good reputation and that what they are selling is new and unopened.
